Sunday, January 20 – Saturday, January 26

01/20/19: No work

01/21/19: The contractor cancelled most of the work due to cold weather.

01/22/19: Contractor started to demolition concrete from top surface of Abutment (B) NB/ 295 bridge NO 1016 to remove concrete so as to clear the rebar from the top surface of concrete.

01/23/19: Contractor started to demolition concrete from top surface of Abutment (B) NB/ 295 bridge NO 1016 to remove concrete so as to clear the rebar from the top surface of concrete.

01/24/19: The contractor performed removal of existing guardrail along the NB. S. Capitol Street under the bridges# 1016 & 1017. Contractor also continued demolition at abutment “B” bearing of bridge 1016. NB. 295.

01/25/19: The contractor performed work platform support brackets at middle pier caps on 1016 & 1017 bridges. Contractor also continued demolition at abutment “B” bearing of bridge 1016 & 1017.

Sunday, January 13 – Saturday, January 19

01/13/19: No work

01/14/19: The contractor continued with the Installation of bracket supported scaffolding installation in front of the abutments A (1016 NB & 1017).

01/15/19: The contractor installed handrails and safety mesh around the scaffolding at abutments A of both 1016 & 1017 on S. capital St SB. They also exposed the structural reinforcement steel at bearing area at abutment “A”, S. capital St SB and installed expansion bolts to support brackets for scaffolding at 1016 & 1017 abutments B on S. capital St. NB. The Contractor also performed measurements at 1016 & 1017 abutments B on S. capital St. NB.

01/17/19: The contractor removed concrete by jack hummer on bearing area at abutment “B”, 1017 SB. Installed expansion bolts to support brackets for scaffolding at abutments “A” on 1016 NB & 1017 SB. And installed support brackets for scaffolding on the median pier cap SB S. Capitol Street SW.

01/18/19: The contractor started removing concrete at Abutment B to clear the rebar from the top surface of concrete
